Hello world!

Guess it's about time we get in on this whole blogging thing, so here we are! Now I'm all nervous... I'll do my best to catch everyone up on the past year, but I think I'll have to work my way backward. So we'll start with today. Jerilyn, Moose and I are doing great! Well, for now. I am expecting an emotional crisis at any moment. Jer's parents are leaving for their mission to Kenya on Monday. Pretty crazy. Jer has been doing very well with the whole thing so far, she's a tough kid. We'll see how things are tomorrow though. We're having a dinner with the family and saying our farewells. Could be a very rough night. We anticipated that and we both got Monday off from work. I plan on spending the day providing emotional support, for both Jer and Moose.

So, brief recap: We got married on January 18th, 2007 in the Bountiful Temple. Then we went on an amazing cruise through the Western Caribbean, which consequently got me hooked on taking cruises. We got home to our apartment and about two months later decided to take of for a week to Germany. Jer quit her job, we packed up my backpack and jumped on the plane. We like to travel. :)

Jer got a new job after we got back from Germany and now works for Utah Medical Products as a Buyer/Planner. She still hates to work and looks forward to the day that I can earn enough money to buy us a farm and feed our 20 kids. And 30 dogs. I am still working for Intermountain Homecare as a Materials Specialist but I've got applications everywhere, a few that I'm waiting to hear back on. Jer is also teaching piano when we get home from work, right now she has five students that she works with during the week. One of my favorite things is to lay on the couch and listen to her play.

Anyway, back to the recap. We moved out of our apartment at the end of December and into the in-law's. We get to watch the house while they are off in Africa! Needless to say, we are pretty excited about being able to stay here and save up some money for a house of our own. For our anniversary/Christmas present, we decided to not buy presents for each other and take another trip. This time we deiced to go on a cruise through the Mexican Riviera for a week.

Now we are back and just trying to settle into life in Woods Cross. Hopefully we can keep this thing up to date, I'll do my best to post our pictures and stories of the past year. Until then, here are a few pics for you!

Welcome to the blog world!!! We were so excited to see you at the airport in SLC - but we've been feeling bad that we were so brief. We wanted to chat, but felt like we might miss our plane with the whole, huge security line. We hope you understand. But we really would have liked to have gotten to know Jer. Sorry we couldn't spend time when we visited in UT either - family is so demanding! We like your blog and hopefully we'll be able to keep in better touch now. If your travels ever take you up here to MN - you've got a place to stay!!!
